Jordan is a rough diamond, a skillful bowler. Had a good Super50. We had a good chat last night, we wanted to have fun in the field. We aspire to have the Zouks level of fun (laugh). Next game is massive for us if we can beat the table toppers Trinbago."

Daren Sammy, losing captain: "Disappointed with the batting effort. Fans wanted two victories on the road, but we are still in the top four. The home games will be important. We didn't assess the pitch. It was a 150-160 wicket. Camaraderie is good, but wins are more important. We definitely were aware of a weak middle order, but if you flip it, you can say that you are giving the youngsters an opportunity to express themselves. We could've split CdG with Hodge and Cato. Both Hodge and Cato got starts, but in our home games, we'll be getting in Colin Ingram since Thisara Perera has to go back."

Akeem Jordan, Man of the Match: "Really is a special effort. Thanks for telling me I'm the second-best CPL figures on debut. Plenty of nerves at the start, but my skipper got my back and asked me to do what I normally do. This is a very important victory. The camaraderie and unity in the camp is good. Need to do my research again and come back fresh. Hope to keep hitting my straps and come back fresh."

9.22pm Finally the home crowd can cheer loud and long. Patriots win by 31 balls to spare and now their season looks slightly more respectable (2W-4L) after six matches. They move to third on the points but that's only temporary since Patriots have played more games than their opponents. Lewis was given an opportunity early on when Hodge dropped a catch, and after that the left-hander hurt Zouks blasing a 30-ball 65.
