2.05pm: Have you caught your breath? We're still holding ours in.

1.44pm: Trinbago Knight Riders have won the toss for the Super Over and decided to bowl first. Yep we have a toss for the Super Over too. On the edge - of seats, knives, nerves.

Our stats genius Gaurav Sundararaman has this cool trivia: If Narine bowls to Pooran it will be reverse of what happened in 2014. Same teams but pooran played for red steel and narine for Guyana

1.40pm: Whew what a finish. And the match isn't done yet. What a 40 overs this was. Knight Riders struggled to 138 for 9. Warriors were behind in the chase for a large part thanks to Narine chiefly, then Pooran came and smashed them into contention. Hosein plucked out a blinder. Then Shepherd showed his big-hitting. And then Hosein came back to keep his cool in the last over, though Naveen was not yet done. Both teams 138 for 9.

W
Hosein to Imran Tahir, 1 run, OUT, we have a Super Over. What a finish. Tahir manages to get some bat on it, pushes it towards point. The batsmen set off on a mad sprint. They have to try for two. There isn't two and the throw comes in at the striker's end and Tahir is run out.

Imran Tahir run out 2 (4m 2b 0x4 0x6) SR: 100.00

Two to win. One to tie.

1
Hosein to Naveen-ul-Haq, 1 run, nicely bowled. Comes on the front foot to try and nudge it softly for two, but this rips across him and takes the outside edge to short third man so they get only a single
19.4
4
Hosein to Naveen-ul-Haq, FOUR, reverse swept for four. Audacity. Changed stance early and threw everything into hit. Got it over point and into the boundary
19.3
1
Hosein to Imran Tahir, 1 run, innovation from Tahir, and he even wanted two! Naveen not even looking at him. Tahir goes down and paddle sweeps it fine

This is one wild roller-coaster of a matcy. Imran Tahir on strike now.

19.2
W
Hosein to Shepherd, OUT, and he's castled him. What a day Hosein is having. Flat and quick on the stumps, hint of turn away, Shepherd again looking to send this to Jamaica with that big wind-up. He misses, Akeal hits.

R Shepherd b Hosein 18 (15m 9b 1x4 2x6) SR: 200.00

Hosein to Shepherd, no run, big heave at that length ball outside off connects only with air

Only 8 needed off the last over with the main bowlers bowled out. Hosein is going to bowl it. Spin in the last over. Interesting. Pollard's only other option was himself. Hosein has pulled off one miraculous event in this game. He now needs another.

1
Udana to Shepherd, 1 run, makes room and squirts this full ball outside off to third man off the top edge. Third man runs forward to dive and try to catch it, but can't reach. Does well to stop it with his body
18.5
6
Udana to Shepherd, SIX, yorker goes wrong and ends as a low full toss, and Shepherd absolutely drills this. Hard, flat and straight, into the sightscreen. Hits a camera there
18.4

Udana to Shepherd, no run, stays in his crease this time and Udana has read his mind almost because this is a yorker length ball in the channel. He misses connecting with the booming drive
18.3
0
Udana to Shepherd, no run, going way across, almost at a 9th stump, and this is well bowled by Udana at the batsman. He is looking to slog-sweep, misses
18.2
1
Udana to Naveen-ul-Haq, 1 run, gets adventurous and dances down the track, the bowler keeps it wide of off, he manages to reach it and steer to deep point
18.1
6
Udana to Naveen-ul-Haq, SIX, boom. Naveen ul-Haq's not hanging about either. Full ball outside off and he tears into that with a full-blooded extra cover drive that carries all the way

DaWolf: "@Rama - because having better batsmen down the order can mean scoreboard pressure mounts with the inferior batting above. It's not just whether King can bat down the order: but also who bats in his place above. You generally want your best batsmen facing the most balls, with some exceptions such as pinch hitters where it's all about strike rate."

6
Rampaul to Shepherd, SIX, that's got air miles on it. Shepherd serves notice that this game ain't over yet. Short ball, sat up, and he rocked back to pull this with all the considerable force he has, sending it way over deep midwicket
17.5
1
Rampaul to Naveen-ul-Haq, 1 run, length ball comign into him, pace completely off, he has to wait for it and pushes it towards point

Sean Daniel: "Guyana need exactly the same runs scored by the last three from TKR in the same deliveries. "

17.4
1
Rampaul to Shepherd, 1 run, back of a length on the stumps, took pace off it, Shepherd pulls very hard, can't time it well, ball rolls through square leg
17.3
4
Rampaul to Shepherd, FOUR, anti climax. short ball that Romario pulls to the deep square leg boundary

34 off 16 needed and Pooran's just gone, one ball after King. So it's a hat-trick ball for Rampaul.

17.2
W
Rampaul to Pooran, OUT, incredible stunner of a catch by Akeal Hosein. That is fabulous. Jonty Rhodes would have been proud of it. Michael Jordan would have been proud of the hang time on it. This was a full ball outside off and Pooran launched into it ferociously, moving across and unleashing a cover drive. Looked like he would clear Hosein over cover, but he leaped up, left hand outstretched above his head, and grabbed it behind his head with arm at full stretch and body in the air. Turns and lands, keeps the ball safe. Avoids touching the boundary rope too. That is out of the world.

N Pooran c Hosein b Rampaul 27 (25m 15b 2x4 2x6) SR: 180.00

Romario Shepherd. He can tonk a few too.

17.1
W
Rampaul to King, OUT, he's pulled it straight to deep midwicket. Rampaul strikes. King had to go for it with the asking rate, which he might not have had to do if the Warriors had a different batting order. Oh well. This was short outside off, he mis-timed his pull and it went straight down the fielder's throat.

BA King c Hosein b Rampaul 10 (19m 7b 0x4 1x6) SR: 142.85

rama knian: "So what if King is an opening batsman? This is T20, and real T20 batsmen should be able to bat in any position." -- more than any position, T20 is situational batting. If you are 120/1 in 15 overs, then you might not want to send the slated No.3, but the man who can best take advantage of the last 5 overs. King's demotion though, I think had to do with a lack of form

END OF OVER:

Udana to Pooran, 2 runs, full on the stumps, uses his wrists to work this through midwicket. They hare between the wickets to get a second
16.5
1
Udana to King, 1 run, length ball outside off, he's shuffling across a bit, flat bats a pull through midwicket
16.4
6
Udana to King, SIX, wham. Went for the yorker, missed his length, and King goes back and across and gets underneath that with a wonderful golf-swing for six over midwicket
16.4
1w
Udana to King, 1 wide, moving across, Udana bowls it wide outside off. The umpire reckons that's just a little too far outside his reach and calls wide
16.3
1
Udana to Pooran, 1 run, yorker on off, great bowling. Pooran can only push it to long-on
