  • Migael Pretorius4-0-55-1
  • Andre Russell2-0-25-0

11.44pm A partnership of 62 in 2.4 overs from these two! Pushing it around and waiting to explode at the end is not a strategy that works out too often in this format, but it has come off in just about the most perfect way possible today. It's the third-fastest partnership ever in terms of run rate (23.25). In second place is a partnership that involved Andre Russell, who was completely flustered today and his over was really the start of Tallawahs letting this innings slip. Lost his cool, gave away some extra runs, and then the presence of Pollard was too much for Pretorius to overcome. Seifert started it all off with an outlandish innings, getting boundaries from the moment he stepped in on a pitch where everyone else struggled. And that bit of movement compounded massively. 167 will be about 10-15 more than they seemed to be aiming for. We're back shortly for the chase.

Pretorius to Pollard, SIX, flat-bats it over the bowler! 28 off the last over! He goes short this time, and wide outside off. Too slow to pull that off on this pitch. It's about chest height for Pollard and he slaps it wayyyy over long-off

Pretorius to Pollard, 1 wide, good length and very wide outside off, beaten on the attempted slash

Pretorius to Pollard, FOUR, boom. More length, more damage. Good length and just outside off, steps into the off side to get behind that and gets a brutal slog across the line into the midwicket boundary

Pretorius to Pollard, 4 runs, a dropped catch and then they run four! My goodness, this has been an embarrassing last ten minutes for Tallawahs. Length ball again, outside off. He has a slog and gets a top edge. Short third man, Permaul, tracks it and so does the keeper. Permaul ends up going for the catch and puts it down. Then throws it at the stumps where there is no one backing up as Seifert comes back for the third and is halfway down the pitch. It trickles towards long-on and they come back for the fourth
