9:30pm And so, the Kings have gotten up to 167, largely due to Munro's 72 and Williams' cameo right at the end. Munro held the innings together, especially after losing Charles early. Chase got a few boundaries away but got stuck against Salamkheil, eventually perishing to the wrist-spinner. Williams, too, looked scratchy at the start but provided the impetus the Kings needed at the end. This still seems a middling total but the Kings have runs on the board.

As for the Knight Riders, they will be quietly confident of hunting down this total. Salamkheil was again impressive in the middle overs and kept the batters guessing. Birthday boy Seales had a part to play in all the wickets that fell (two catches and the scalp of Charles), and their fielding was largely up to scratch, barring a couple of mishaps. They have the batting firepower and with dew expected to settle in by the time they come out to bat, they will hope to go back to the top of the table. Join is in a bit for the run-chase.

Colin Munro: Nice to get a score. Would have been nice to have gotten a bit more. Thought they bowled well. Having been with them for so many years, they bowled well (to me). (On scoring against the Knight Riders) Nothing against the boys, nice to put up a score against them and hopefully that is enough. (On partnership with Chase) Tried to be nice and positive. Waqar had been taking wickets for them, so the idea was not to give him too many wickets. (On the pitch) Not very quick, swung a little with the new ball. Gripped when Akeal bowled too.

Ali Khan to Williams, FOUR, four to finish the innings! Full delivery angled into middle and off stump. Williams marches down the track, converts it into a half-volley and threads it to mid off's right!

Ali Khan to Williams, 2 runs, very full delivery outside off stump. Williams opens his bat face at the last moment and guides it past the fielder in the ring at point. Russell hurtles to his left from the deep backward point position, puts in the dive and saves two

Ali Khan to Munro, 1 run, low full toss outside off stump. Munro shovels it down the ground towards long on

0
Ali Khan to Munro, no run, full and hung way outside off stump. Munro throws his hands at it and misses. Munro mutters a string of expletives, presumably because he thinks it should be a wide and because the umpire does not share his opinion. Might have been frustration at having missed the ball too...

A bit of momentum for the Kings. Can they get up to 165-170? Ali Khan to close things out for the Knight Riders. He will bowl from around the wicket. Wide yorkers could be the plan again...

Ali Khan to Munro, 2 runs, nifty footwork! Full outside off stump. Munro sits deep in his crease and drills it back past the bowler. It looks like the ball will hit the fence until....Pollard gets a big left boot to it. A certain Argentinian, not far away from here, will be proud of that effort!

Stays around the wicket to Munro

Ali Khan to Williams, 1 run, full and speared into off stump. Williams shuffles across and glances it nicely but for the second ball running, cannot get it past short fine leg

Around the wicket to Williams

The Knight Riders have applied the squeeze nicely in the last few overs. Ali Khan to bowl the 18th. Can the Kings break free this over?
