Kieron Pollard's 33-ball 62 gave Jamaica Tallawahs a few jitters in the end overs but Mohammad Sami's four-for ensured an opening win for the defending champions

7.04 pm Psst, if you've missed today's action, here's Peter Della Penna's match report for you to enjoy. Goodbye now. No, really.

6.59 pm That's it from sunny Florida, then. Four games in two days and the Party in the USA comes to an end. No CPL tomorrow, but when the action is back on Tuesday, we'll be back in the Caribbean for some exciting cricket. Till then, from Akshay and Sreshth, we hope you enjoyed ESPNcricinfo's coverage of the double-header today. Till the next game then, it's au revoir!

6.52 pm Time for some words from the two captains. Winning captain Sangakkara says, "It's ridiculous how Pollard hits it. It's magical and he was the difference between us winning and losing. It's T20, bowlers take a lot of punishment but we executed well. Sami and Kesrick were good but Imad and Shakib were brilliant. Powell's fielding was immaculate. And, McCarthy, did exactly what his plans were. Came in at No. 3 and did his part. Mathurin, too, changed the game with the run out."

Losing captain Pollard has this to say: It's T20 so we were confident with the chase. We were a little slow at the start and were behind the eight-ball. A little inexperience, but we can't control it. One loss, one win, that's okay. Wish there were some more fans here in Lauderhill."

6.45 pm Andre McCarthy says: "I've been hitting the ball during practice so my job was just to execute the plans. Getting the runs was important. Our team lost three wickets in one over, so it was crucial (his innings). We were lucky towards the end, but glad we pulled through." A crisp interview from the Man of the Match.

6.42 pm Yesterday it was the Tridents who won by 12 runs. Today, the Tallawahs won by exactly the same margin. A much better game from yesterday and it was close till Pollard fell for 62 in the 19th over. Sami's four wickets, including two in that 19th, ensured Tridents were never ahead of the required rate and eventually the run-rate pressure got the better of the boys from Barbados. Let's not forget McCarthy's contribution with the bat for Tallawahs. Shakib's cameo, too, helped Jamaica - who celebrate their Independence Day today - breach 150. They became the first team to go past that mark this season.

Santokie to Rampaul, OUT, And a wicket to end the innings. Tridents are all out, and Tallawahs take revenge for yesterday's loss. Full on off stump and the ball finds the slog's outside edge. Pops up in the air and short third man takes an easy catch. Sangakkara looks like a very content man.
