10.20pm Very comfortable win, which will help Zouks' NRR. Cornwall blew Tallawahs away with a 30-ball 75 after Zouks restricted the hosts to only 170. Stick around for match reactions.
Rahkeem Cornwall is the Player of the Match. He says, "Skipper gave me a role, and I did exactly that. On this pitch, you have to stay still and when it's in the zone, you put it away. Winning is always a good feeling. Positive mindset now. The bowlers executed well in the first innings, restricting JT to a total we could chase."
Chris Gayle, losing captain: "Russell will need a couple of days off. Wish him well. Disappointing game. They bowled well, and they capitalised after Russell. What's killing us is the first six overs with the ball. When you're bowling to Cornwall and Fletcher, they can make things difficult when they have momentum. But still our bowlers should've done better. We saw JT play against St Kitts, and our plan was to get their bowlers under pressure. We discussed some plans with the ball. As defending champions, we need to try things around. We are capable enough to bounce back."
Daren Sammy, winning captain: "The way our bowlers came back, we restricted them to 61 in last ten overs. Cornwall and Fletcher capitalised on the chances they got. Especially, Fletcher all the way to the victory. It's what we needed. We were searching for an early win in last three years, and hopefully that's the momentum we need when we go home."
