That is that. Kings do the double over Patriots in CPL 2022 and move to third on the points table. Faf applauds his boys and leads them off the field. He had set the tone for the victory with a bruising 21-ball 41. His opening partner Johnson Charles celebrated his T20 WC call-up with a 41-ball 61. They ensured that Kings put up an above-par 189 for 7 on a slow track. Williams and Wiese then dented the Patriots' chase by taking three wickets each.

Wiese is the Player of the Match:  I thought the openers got us off to a good start. That allows us to try and bash it at the end. We thought we got an above-par total on this wicket. Again, the wicket was getting tougher and we didn't want to give them pace and keep it on the stumps. Big win for us, keeps us in the tournament, and gives us momentum and keeps us in the hunt for longer.

Faf du Plessis: It was a good start in the powerplay and on a wicket like this, you have to get ahead of the game. It was brilliant and I was surprised with his [Wiese's] figures but his lengths were very good. Our team is performing collectively and very pleased.

DJ Bravo: Yeah, we should've used the conditions better. He used his experience and they made use of the powerplay and we had to adjust our plans. It has been that kind of a season and need to back my players and keep driving positive energy into the group. Have to enjoy the game and we need that love. I'm there to give them that love.

Hope you enjoyed our coverage as much as we did bringing it to you. Until next time, this is Deivarayan Muthu signing off on the behalf of Aaditya Narayan, Hemant Brar and Binoy George. Take care and cheers
