Alyssa Healy: "It's often the way in T20 that one person in the top two faces a lot more of the bowling. Aliya Riaz bowled really well for them. They only picked one seamer and she did her job very well. We have a lot of different bowlers in our attack who can adapt to these conditions and hopefully we can defend it."

Serg Muay: "Where is this Providence Stadium? Cricinfo used to have a link to the ground too in the scorecard but it is gone now. Thanks in advance though for the answer.." -- Here you go.

5.20pm Pakistan will need 166 to win. A good, solid total from Australia, but it looked at one stage, when Alyssa Healy was blazing it to all parts, that they might get a lot more. A good effort by the Pakistan bowlers to ensure Australia didn't run away with it. Aliya Riaz was particularly impressive with her medium-pace, getting the ball to move around ever so slightly and varying her lengths and lines intuitively.

4
Aliya Riaz to Perry, FOUR, once again a fullish length, but this time she angles it in towards off stump and Perry can target the vacant backward square leg boundary. Just clears her left leg and finishes off the Australian innings with a boundary
19.5
2
Aliya Riaz to Perry, 2 runs, fullish, fairly wide of off, swung away along the ground to the right of long-on

Only two balls left as Ellyse Perry takes strike.

19.4
W
Aliya Riaz to Villani, OUT, shortish outside off, and Villani can't force this cut past backward points. Hits it hard and straight to the fielder, and there really was no run in it. Villani sets off, Haynes responds initially before deciding to send her partner back, and by that time it's too late as the throw comes in at the keeper's end

EJ Villani run out 7 (5b 1x4 0x6) SR: 140.00

19.3
0
Aliya Riaz to Villani, no run, swings and misses. Fullish outside off, looks to slog it over midwicket and can't connect
19.2
1
Aliya Riaz to Haynes, 1 run, full outside off, driven to long-off

Rachael Haynes is in at No. 6. Riaz goes round the wicket to the left-hander.

19.1
W
Aliya Riaz to Lanning, OUT, bowled 'er! Looks to make room again, and Aliya bowls it full and just outside off. Too full to play that angled-bat stab through point, and all she can do is inside-edge it back into her stumps

MM Lanning b Aliya Riaz 41 (34b 3x4 1x6) SR: 120.58

Aliya Riaz will finish the innings

END OF OVER:
19 | 13 Runs | AUS-W: 158/3 | RR: 8.31

  • Elyse Villani7 (3b)
  • Sana Mir4-0-32-0
  • Nashra Sandhu4-0-43-2
18.6
1
Sana Mir to Lanning, 1 run, now the length is better, much fuller to deny the elevation, and Lanning drives it to long-off
18.5
4
Sana Mir to Lanning, FOUR, makes room and Mir tries to follow her again, but the length isn't quite as full, and that gives Lanning just enough time to take an extra step towards the leg side and loft it cleanly over extra-cover
18.4
1
Sana Mir to Villani, 1 run, down the track and she gets a low full-toss on off stump. Clipped to long-on
18.3
2
Sana Mir to Villani, 2 runs, down the track again and Mir shortens her length, tucked away towards deep midwicket
18.2
4
Sana Mir to Villani, FOUR, bang, Villani begins with a boundary. Down the track, and she gets the width that Lanning was denied off the previous ball. Drives it firmly and finds the gap to the right of the diving extra-cover fielder
18.1
1
Sana Mir to Lanning, 1 run, down the track, looking to make room to hit over extra-cover. Mir bowls it full, and her line follows Lanning's feet, so she has no room to work with. Just squeezes it to extra-cover and picks up one

Sana Mir to bowl the 19th over.

END OF OVER:
18 | 10 Runs 1 Wkt | AUS-W: 145/3 | RR: 8.05

  • Meg Lanning35 (30b)
  • Elyse Villani0 (0b)
  • Nashra Sandhu4-0-43-2
  • Nida Dar4-0-31-0
17.6
1
Nashra Sandhu to Lanning, 1 run, steps a long way across and Sandhu shortens her length and bowls a wider line. Jabbed towards backward point

Elyse Villani comes in at No. 5.

17.5
W
Nashra Sandhu to Gardner, OUT, and again, that bottom-hand dominated slog-sweep, but this time the line from Sandhu is straighter, and Gardner ends up hitting it straight to deep midwicket

A Gardner c Nida Dar b Nashra Sandhu 13 (10b 0x4 1x6) SR: 130.00

17.4
6
Nashra Sandhu to Gardner, SIX, that's some serious bottom hand, and Gardner finds the gap and clears the rope. Steps across to this fullish one outside off, and does the Ross Taylor hockey thing to swat this into the gap between deep midwicket and long-on
17.3
1
Nashra Sandhu to Lanning, 1 run, sees her making room and fires it quick on leg stump. Chopped into the point region
17.2
1
Nashra Sandhu to Gardner, 1 run, down the track and Sandhu floats it wider, driven to sweeper cover
17.1
1
Nashra Sandhu to Lanning, 1 run, steps across to the off side to target the square-leg region. Full outside off, swept hard but can't beat the square leg fielder

Sandhu to bowl her last over.

END OF OVER:
17 | 6 Runs | AUS-W: 135/2 | RR: 7.94

  • Ashleigh Gardner6 (7b)
  • Meg Lanning32 (27b)
  • Nida Dar4-0-31-0
  • Anam Amin4-0-34-0
16.6
0
Nida Dar to Gardner, no run, flat and quick outside off, and Gardner plays for the trajectory rather than the length. Goes back shaping to cut, but the length isn't short enough and it hurries through, forcing her to simply leave the ball alone
16.5
1
Nida Dar to Lanning, 1 run, well bowled, saw Lanning stepping away from leg stump to create room and followed her. Swept away to deep backward square leg
16.4
1
Nida Dar to Gardner, 1 run, length ball on middle stump, clipped straight to straight midwicket - who's fairly deep - and they hurry through for a single.
