4:29pm Well, that was an innings that promised a lot at the start, especially when Athapaththu and Samarawickrama came out all guns blazing. As soon as the skipper departed, though, Australia strengthened their hold on the game. Their spinners came into play and strangled the Sri Lankans in the middle overs, with both Samarawickrama and Gunaratne struggling to rotate strike and hit boundaries. de Silva played a nice cameo at the end but the fact that that has only gotten Sri Lanka to 112 tells you how the rest of their innings panned out. At the half-way stage, Australia would definitely be the happier of the two sides. But with this pitch turning, Sri Lanka could be in the game if they manage to get a few early wickets. Grace Harris: It was pretty outstanding (on bowling in a T20 World Cup game). I just thought about giving it a good rip. I saw the first couple of balls turning and I thought about continuing that way. I was well-supported by my teammates. Meg told me that they were charging down the track. (On the pitch) I think we have to be definite with our footwork to the spinners and a bit of low bounce to a length.
