Scorer: Binoy George | Commentator: Ashish Pant

Right, then a match that lived up to the India-Pakistan hype. Pakistan certainly held their moments and came out trumps. The tournament continues and it will be India taking on Bangladesh and Malaysia taking on Thailand tomorrow. As always, we will be here, bringing all the live updates to you. Do join us. Till then, this is Ashish Pant signing off on behalf of Sudarshanan, Vairavan and Binoy George.

Stat nugget: India women in Asia Cup (ODI + T20I)

Played 42 Won 39 Lost 3

Their previous two defeats came in the 2018 Asia Cup T20, both vs Bangladesh

Hammad: "Losing to Thailand Winning against India..That's Pakistan cricket"

Ajit Agranayak : "After UAE and Malaysia, and so much experimenting that went along with it, we forgot to switch back against Pakistan. And the result is there. Maybe next time we don't take an opponent too lightly. Up next, Bangladesh. Let's Hustle!!"

Nida Dar is the Player of the Match: It was a slow start but I went there and talked to Bismah and she said look we have to make a partnership here. It was a good wicket for the batters but it was my role to play an innings like that. It was like I wanted to find my hitting areas. We need to work on our last three to four overs and need to finish well.

Pakistan captain Bismah Maroof: Very important game for us after yesterday. We executed the things very well. How Nida batted beautifully. We just wanted to take calculated risks. Nida played a crucial innings for us. In the middle we have gaps, and we know Nida cant hit so we look to hit the strength areas. We didn't assess the conditions well (yesterday). We read the conditions well today. We executed the plans very well today.

First up Harmanpreet Kaur, the India captain: In the middle, we were trying to give the chance to other batters, because you have to do that as the tournament goes on, but it backfired. It was a chaseable target. In the middle overs, we were not able to take singles and rotate strike, we played too many dot balls. [On batting at No.7] Whoever is new in the side, they should good number of games heading into the game, because whenever you change the side the players coming in should be ready. We are aware of that and never take any team lightly. It is a part of the game. Yesterday, Thailand played a good game. Today, they (Pakistan) played good cricket, and they came up trumps. Going forward, we need to work on those areas.

Presentation time

4.40pm Celebration in the Pakistan camp and why not! Just the third time in their history of T20 cricket that they have managed to beat India. The win was setup by Nida Dar who scored a power-packed fifty and then picked two crucial wickets. Nashra Sandhu too was brilliant taking three important wickets, while Sadia Iqbal also picked up two scalps. A word of appreciation for Aliya Riaz who took three catches in the deep at crucial intervals. None of the India batters settled in. Richa Ghosh struck 26 off 13 balls to give Pakistan a scare but once she was dismissed, the match was heading in only one direction.

Mayank Sawhney: "Complacency with the Bat and the Ball cost India the Match. Harmanpreet Kaur coming at No.7, if that is not complacency, then don't know what it is."

Adnan: "Thats Pakistan Cricket for you. One moment down one moment up !!! Proud of the girls. " Hena: "Aliya should get an award for brilliant catching! Nerves of steel that our men couldn't show"

Aiman Anwer to Gayakwad, OUT, Cleans her up and what a turnaround for Pakistan! Just 24 hours after losing to Thailand, they have regrouped and defeated the much favoured India by 13 runs. Yorker at the base of leg stump, Gayakwad misses and the ball clatters into leg stump.
