That's all we have from the game. Watch out for Matt's report, and we'll see you tomorrow!

"We're very happy," Islamabad skipper Shadab Khan says. "Like I said earlier, we have depth in our batting but you can't afford to hand the momentum over to the other side. I'm just glad we won. Experience told for us in the end. Faheem's little innings was vital, and we need to use him as much as possible. The first win gives us momentum and we look forward to the rest of the league."

Lewis Gregory is the Player of the Match. "We got off to a fantastic start but lost our way in the middle. It was the sort of chase where we didn't have to do something too crazy. That allowed me to take my time and get adjusted to the pitch. I just needed to find the gaps, and thankfully that happened."

"I thought we bowled really well to keep them down to 150, and the top six had to take responsibility," Islamabad United opener Alex Hales says, We didn't quite do that, but our allrounders really bailed us out. I'm used to playing in different conditions around the world. Each country poses different challenges but I really enjoy it"

Now it feels like the PSL's properly taken off. First real nailbiter of this season, and this will give Islamabad a huge lift. They looked like they were cruising, before throwing it away in the middle, but Lewis Gregory and some real sloppiness in the field gets them back in it, and the two-time champions have the last laugh.

END OF OVER:
20 | 6 Runs 1 Wkt | MS: 150/8 | RR: 7.50

  • Carlos Brathwaite22 (14b)
  • Hasan Ali4-0-16-1
  • Mohammad Wasim4-0-29-3

8.40pm: So just 150 for Multan in the end, and Islamabad will be very happy with that. They chipped away with regular wickets, and will be pretty confident about their chances in this chase. Rizwan continued his flying T20 form, racing to 50 off 31 balls, but lost all impetus, adding 21 off his next 22 balls. Mohammad Wasim is speaking to the host broadcaster but I regret that my Urdu isn't up to scratch. He bowled brilliantly, particularly in the 19th over, and Hasan Ali's picked up where he left off with four impressive overs.

Back shortly to bring you ISLU's run chase. Alex Hales and Phil Salt are carded to open in what looks like a very fun batting line-up.

Cameron: "So as an Aussie, I've gotten used to the BBL the past couple months where 170 is par. What is the general par scores like in Pakistan? I have no idea" -- The average runs per over on this ground across PSL history is 8.46, so 165 might be an approximate par score. The boundaries are relatively short and there's plenty of bounce in the pitch. ISLU firm favourites from here, as I see it.

Ahsan Butt: "Multan literally wasted the platform that their top 4 batsmen set. It is going to take some really good bowling effort from them to restrict this Islamabad side."

Mehak: "It's best to try and lose your wicket instead of wasting balls at this stage. Afridi did his thing here." -- Yep, correct. No blame attached to him for the shot, but it did feel like vintage Afridi.

Hasan Ali to Sohail Tanvir, OUT, miscues it high, high, high into the night sky. Hasan Ali settles underneath it, and takes a tumbling catch off his own bowling. He falls to the deck and then brushes either shoulder after jumping to his feet to celebrate a fine bowling performance as though it's no big deal. Offcutter on a length, and Tanvir was through his shot early

Hasan Ali to Brathwaite, 1 run, clears the front leg again, and can only hack this yorker to long-on. 150 up with one ball to go. Great old-school death bowling from Hasan.

Niaz Ali: "Wasim celebrated Afridi's wicket in Afridi's style!"

Hasan Ali to Sohail Tanvir, 1 run, back of a length, clubbed out to midwicket on the bounce

Hasan Ali to Brathwaite, 1 run, clears the front leg but Hasan lands the yorker, and he can only jam it towards midwicket

Hasan Ali to Sohail Tanvir, 1 run, clothed to mid-off on the edge of the ring and Tanvir, the No. 9, sets off. He's out if the throw from Gregory hits the stumps at the non-striker's end, but it's wide!

And indeed it is Hasan Ali to finish.

Mohammad Wasim to Brathwaite, FOUR, poor way to finish. Wide outside the off stump, on a length, and Brathwaite cuts it fine past short third man. Superb spell from Mohammad Wasim: 3 for 29 from his four overs

Brathwaite to face the hat-trick ball, since they crossed

Mohammad Wasim to Shahid Afridi, OUT, never change, Afridi. Not that you were likely to. Wide outside off stump on a length, and Afridi tries to send this 150 metres over midwicket as he shimmies down. It balloons up into the night sky, nestling in the hands of Shadab Khan on the edge of the inner ring at cover. Short and sweet

Shahid Afridi c Shadab Khan b Mohammad Wasim 0 (2m 1b 0x4 0x6) SR: 0.00

Boom Boom. He won't die wondering.

Mohammad Wasim to Mohammad Rizwan, OUT, gottim! Wasim clears Rizwan up! Tiiiiimber! Mohammad Wasim goes wide on the crease, and spears in a yorker. It's very full, with the seam angling in towards the leg side - superb seam position. Rizwan's timing has been way off for the last five overs or so, and he can't get his bat down on this. It sends off stump flying and Wasim has got the big wicket

Mohammad Wasim to Brathwaite, 1 run, in the slot, clears the front leg, and sends it straight to Hales on the bounce at long-off. Slight misfield but won't cost a run

Wasim returns. So Hasan to bowl the 20th instead of Faheem.

Brathwaite calls for a new bat. Rizwan has lost his way since reaching 50, but MS can still scrape up to a competitive total here.
