Faseeh: "Shadab should have taken the responsibility and showed character. He bowed down under pressure. At least him trying would have shown his resilience " That's the prevailing view. Shadab said he was waiting to bowl to right-handers and when Ben Dunk was at the crease, he was hesitant to bowl. However, in the final over, Lahore had two right-handers batting, so the decision is still mystifying.
Rashid Khan is predictably player of the match. Sohail. He expresses satisfaction with his performance, insisting there's more to come. Said it doesn't matter whether he got the chance to bat late in the innings or higher up, he just wanted to fulfil his role. Some might say he did that, and then some.
Anyhow, that's it from us here. Take care, people, and see you tomorrow!

Muhammad Muzamm: "Am I the only one who thinks that 143 is enough on this pitch. Considering the bowling of Islamabad, especially Spinner Fawad Ahmed."
wasif : " a very good recovery for IU after being 93/7 at 14.3 they continued scoring quick over 9 in over and that has caused them to reach a fighting score, had they tried to only play out the 20overs and ended up around 120. The game would have been over anyways. Nice approach by IU "
9.50pm Not a great score but it's something for the Islamabad bowlers to work with. The biggest thing to worry for them is that the highest score by any batter was 27, and the highest partnership (30) was for the ninth wicket. Haris, Daniyal and Rashid were the standout bowlers for Qalandars although Faulkner finishes with the best figures: 3/32.
Rashid says, "pitch is soft. For fast bowlers, bowling cutters will be good. And for me I thought the faster I bowl, the more turn I can get. It's dewy, in the last five overs. Today's weather is the best since we have arrived."
We'll be back with the second innings in a jiffy with Qalandars needing 144 to beat United and end a long-running losing streak against these opponents.

Jassia Zafar: "That's the advantage of having depth in batting specially in T20s. Although, IU's batting have a lot to think before the next game, but we are having a clear demonstration of how valuable these runs from the lower-order are"

NAUMAN: "Shadab played a good role up the order couple of seasons ago. Its all about confidence and form, in T20s at least. His batting success can trigger bowling form as well."

United should try to bat out all 20 overs - they have 19 legal balls left but only two wickets in hand.
Hasaan J: "Just switched on the television to enjoy some PSL cricket, and feeling sad on missing the 4 exceptional overs of Rashid Khan. Flabbergasting by seeing his figures on Cricinfo..."
