9.20 PM: Woof, did we see some ball-striking from the United or what? The opening duo of Stirling and Hales set the tone from the word go, rollicking along on their merry way to collect 81 runs off the first six. When Hales was dismissed, Munro ensured that the United keep up with the momentum; marking his return to the side with a staggering 72 off 39 to back up Stirling's whirlwind 58 off 28. At one stage, the United looked set to breach the 250-mark when Azam and Munro were spanking everything that came their way. But the two lost a bit of steam at the rear-end courtesy some excellent death-bowling by the Gladiators' pacers. It looked like a decent recovery until Afridi was brought back to bowl his last and was clobbered around the park by Azam to give the United that late burst. Azam made a hefty contribution, too, with his 65 off just 35.

Quetta now have a humongous task ahead of them. We'll be back in a jiffy with the run-chase.

Islamabad United have set Quetta Gladiators a gargantuan target of 230 runs
