Qasim Nawab: "This feels like a pitch of the PSL V final that Karachi won. Chance for Babar to just be himself and get the W here."

Ahmed: "Those extra 15 runs in the end conceded by KK, I hope it doesn't hurt them in the end. Good total on a wicket where bowel isn't coming nicely. KK will bank on the dew factor."

Nauman: "KK lost by 9 runs chasing similar target in last game, leaving too much too late. Hope they learned the lesson. Would like to see sending Umaid or Jordan as pinch hitter or Imad as leftie to disrupt bowlers up front."

9.20 PM: A decent effort with the bat from Islamabad United on what looks like a slow deck. Stirling and Hales got them off to an excellent start in the powerplay before the Karachi spinners took out the openers. Shadab stringed together a good-looking partnership with Munro who struggled to up the ante and provide that impetus through the middle phases which is, in turn, reflective that it wasn't coming on as well. Karachi's pacers used the variations to extremely good effect, digging it into the pitch and offering no pace to the Islamabad batsmen to work with. Azam's little cameo at the rear-end propelled them to what looks like a very competitive total on this surface. We'll be back in a bit with what promises to be a cracking run-chase.

Karachi Kings need 178 runs to win

Umaid Asif to Azam Khan, OUT, OUT! Hard length, wide outside off, Azam eyes that cow corner region as he hoicks it across the line but ends up splicing it straight up in the air; Farhan with the gloves on does well to keep an eye on the swirling ball and holds on to it

Umaid Asif to Faheem Ashraf, 1 leg bye, Well-executed yorker, honing into his toes as Faheem looks to clip it but it thuds into his pads. Loud appeal for the bowler, seemed to have pitched outside leg. Babar decides to go upstairs anyway. No bat involved, and yep, pitching way outside leg
