8.38pm Phew, when did that start? Finch hugs Maxwell. All smiles for Australia, a warm applause. Maxwell opened with Warner and both of them threw in everything they had. For 20 overs, Australia did not look troubled, they did not look hurried. 120 balls of comfort has resulted in the highest T20I score, beating Sri Lanka's 260 for 6 against Kenya. Maxwell played the protagonist and what a performance he delivered, smashing his way to an unbeaten 65-ball 145 on his return to Australia's side. Head, Khawaja and Warner all executed their supporting acts superbly and Australia are poised to go 1-0 up barring a miraculous turnaround in events. I need to lie down, maybe take a break from life. But I'll be back soon for the second innings. Stick around.
