Sir Bradley Wiggins has said he is trying to raise the money to run a women's Team Wiggins outfit, to run alongside the pre-established men's side.
The five-time Olympic gold medallist founded Team Wiggins in 2015, aiming to help support and develop the next generation of British and international riders on their journey to elite level and professional cycling.
Speaking on ITV4's coverage of the Tour de France, Wiggins said: "If we can get the money together then we will have a women's Team Wiggins outfit.
"Funding is the biggest challenge but we would love to have a women's team running side-by-side."
Sky -- who used to sponsor Wiggins' outfit -- have had a rough ride on the Tour de France this year, with Italian rider Gianni Moscon being kicked out of the race for hitting another rider during the 15th stage.
