Alliance has announced changes to its Dota 2 roster, effective for the upcoming Major.

Three players will be parting ways with the organization: Gustav "s4" Magnusson, Henrik "AdmiralBulldog" Ahnberg and Joakim "Akke" Akterhall. According to Alliance, Magnusson and Ahnberg will be continuing their competitive careers with other teams, while Akterhall will be leaving the team but could possibly stay on with Alliance in a non-competitive role.

This is the second major break for the former No Tidehunter lineup that dominated The International 3. After a break-up post-TI4, the squad reassembled for a run at the sixth International with all five teammates, but finished 9th/12th overall after a rough main stage showing.

Only Jonathan "Loda" Berg and Jerry "EGM" Lundkvist remain on the Alliance squad now, with three major vacancies in the mid, offlane and support roles. There's certainly no shortage of free-agent talent right now for those positions, but more will likely be announced closer to the roster-drop lock date of September 4.
