Swedish Super Smash Bros. Melee player Andreas "Android" Lindgren has signed with European esports organization Alliance today. Android is the organization's second Smash player, joining his older brother, Smash god and Evolution 2015 champion Adam "Armada" Lindgren.

"Smash is a fantastic scene with an amazing community and I'm very excited to be further invested in it with welcoming Andreas to the Alliance family," Alliance general manager Erik Barge said in an announcement on the team's website. "He's a very promising up-and-coming Smasher and I'm very excited to see him grow as a player going forward. Together, Adam and Andreas will literally be Alliance's 'Smash Brothers' and we're all excited to see them compete together in doubles as well as individually."

Android is currently ranked 49th on Melee It On Me's yearly Super Smash Bros. Melee rankings, which was last released at the end of 2015. Android is best known for playing Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time character Sheik, who is one of the strongest characters in Melee. In the last year, Android took 25th at the Big House 5, ninth at DreamHack Winter and fifth recently at DreamHack Summer.

Android is also known as a doubles competitor, taking first with fellow European Smash player Amsah "Amsah" Augustuszoon at DreamHack Summer's doubles tournament. He has previously taken first at The Big House 5 with his brother Armada.
