FlyQuest swats Team Dignitas 2-0

Galen "Moon" Holgate was sent to Challenger twice last year. Now he's back in the LCS, making waves in the jungle, and his confidence is only growing. Riot Games

FlyQuest continued its impressive run to start the 2017 Spring Split with another sweep Saturday, this time against Team Dignitas on Day 2 of Week 3 of the North American League Championship Series in Los Angeles.

FlyQuest took an early lead in Game 1 when jungler Galen "Moon" Holgate's Rengar and mid laner Hai "Hai" Lam's Zed executed a tower dive in Team Dignitas' bottom lane to lock up first blood and first tower. Using this early advantage, FlyQuest then notched three more kills for a 5-to-0 advantage before Team Dignitas picked up a single kill. Outside of a good engage about 22 minutes in, Dignitas struggled to gain any ground in the game while FlyQuest ran away with a gold lead. FlyQuest's 10,000-gold lead allowed them to build pressure by split pushing until finally breaking into the Dignitas base at the 30-minute mark. Team Dignitas wasn't able to defend for long before FlyQuest knocked down a second inhibitor and finished off their Nexus two minutes later.

Team Dignitas' bottom lane saw the early action again in Game 2 when FlyQuest's Hai and Moon once again ganked about nine minutes in to secure first blood. Moon returned a little over five minutes later to score a double kill before also helping AD carry Johnny "Altec" Ru's Miss Fortune and support Daerek "LemonNation" Hart's Zyra secure the first tower. FlyQuest made all the right macro decisions heading into the late game, not giving up any neutral objectives and enjoying an 11-2 tower lead. Team Dignitas struggled to do anything in Game 2, with the team only securing two kills and no dragons the entire game.
