Multi-esport organization Panda Global has added two more players to their team with the addition of Hearthstone pros Edwin "HotMEOWTH" Cook and Raymond "RayC" Cipoletti.
"Panda Global is proud to finally step into Hearthstone with players we think fit our brand perfectly," PG's CEO Alan Bunney M.D. told ESPN. "With RayC traveling to more events and HotMEOWTH continuing his hot streak, we think the Hearthstone Championship Tour will be incredibly exciting this year."
HotMEOWTH finished atop the circuit points leaderboard in the Hearthstone winter season, was the 2016 Americas Summer champion, and secured an eighth-place finish at the Hearthstone Championship Tour Global Championship at BlizzCon last November. RayC is a former Pokemon Trading Card Game player who finished in the top 15 in circuit points in the HS winter season. Following successful heart surgery, RayC will be able to travel to events more often and represent PG on the Hearthstone circuit.
This is Panda Global's second notable expansion into a new esport this month, following their move into the H1Z1 space by adding a team for the competitive survival shooter game earlier in February.
