Samsung Galaxy made quick work of Afreeca Freecs to kick off Week 8, Day 3 of League Champions Korea play on Thursday in Seoul, South Korea.

Samsung (12-4, 27-12 match record) drafted a teamfighting composition that excelled in zoning, while Afreeca (8-7, 22-19 match record) went with a similar composition that focused on side-lane pressure. The first 15 minutes went heavily in favor of Samsung, as it made proactive plays around the map while Afreeca failed to respond.

In textbook fashion, Samsung set up vision control to quickly take down Baron at 23 minutes with little resistance. Samsung pushed each lane in and made quick work of the entire Afreeca base en route to a seemingly effortless 28-minute victory.

Game 2 saw Samsung and Afreeca both draft go with teamfighting compositions once again. It was Afreeca who jumped out to an early lead this time with up a handful of kills thanks to early aggression, but Samsung quickly caught on to and took advantage of the aggressive playstyle.

The gold was practically dead-even by 15 minutes due to both teams throwing and enduring punches. At 27 minutes in, Samsung managed to slay the Baron, which led to two easy inhibitors and the opportunity to quickly end the game. Samsung took advantage by quickly annihilating Afreeca off the back of mid laner Lee "Crown" Min-ho's pentakill on Cassiopeia. Crown finished the game with a 9/0/1 KDA (kills/deaths/assists), and Samsung earned the sweep.

Afreeca Freecs will continue pushing toward a playoff spot against Ever8 Winners at 7 a.m ET on Sunday, while Samsung Galaxy will take on ROX Tigers at 7 a.m. ET on Tuesday.
