Team Liquid defeated G2 Esports 3-1 in the grand final of the $600,000 C ESL Pro League Season 9 finals for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive on Sunday in Montpellier, France.
G2 had their pick of the first map, Dust II, but Liquid won the round in overtime 19-15. Liquid then cruised to a 2-0 lead in the best-of-five match with a 16-3 victory on Overpass.
G2 stayed alive by taking a 16-12 triumph on Nuke before a back-and-forth battle on Inferno.
Liquid claimed a 25-22 victory after three overtimes to win the title and the $250,000 grand prize.
