The Vancouver Titans announced the signing of veteran main tank player Baek "Fissure" Chan-hyung on Tuesday.

"It's official. Please help us welcome Fissure to the Vancouver Titans!," the team tweeted on Tuesday. "We're excited to see some ground breaking plays from this legend."

Fissure announced his retirement from the OWL in June, mutually agreeing to end his contract with the Seoul Dynasty in the middle of Stage 3 of Season 2. At the time, the 20-year-old South Korean was not competing in all matches and stated that he had lost his motivation and love of the game.

After starting the 2018 inaugural season of the Overwatch League with the London Spitfire, Fissure was traded to the Los Angeles Gladiators in February 2018.

Fissure was viewed as a key contributor in a big performance improvement from the Gladiators during the 2018 season, as the team went from being a lower- to mid-tier team in Stage 1 to finishing first in Stage 4.

He was dealt to the Dynasty after the season in August 2018, having professed a desire to move to an all-Korean team, with Seoul as his top choice. However, Seoul was 10-9 overall and 3-2 in Stage 3 when Fissure stepped away from the team.

Before joining the Overwatch League, Fissure competed for Team KongDoo Panthera and Cloud9 KongDoo.
