Call of Duty: Modern Warfare's battle royale game mode, Warzone, is out, which means it's time for players around the world to power up their gaming system of choice and start the ever-arduous update process.

Members of the Twittersphere have reported the update taking as long as two hours for those who haven't downloaded Modern Warfare previously. That's a good chunk of time, and we, like you, would rather not just twiddle our thumbs while we wait.

Play 12 games of Call of Duty: Mobile

Cook a four-course meal

We asked staffer Jacob Wolf to put together a nice dinner for us. Of course, it had to be a healthy mix to balance out sitting up all night playing CoD.

His selections: An Instant Pot copy of Olive Garden's zuppa Toscana (35 minutes), a green salad with a homemade balsamic vinaigrette (10 minutes), a light-but-flavorful garlic lemon Mahi-Mahi dish for the entrée (40 minutes) and a homemade fudge brownie (35 minutes). Treating yourself means eating dessert to go with your games.

Watch Joey Chestnut eat 888 hot dogs

Not into cooking yourself? What about seeing other people gorge themselves? The world-record holder for hot dogs eaten in 10 minutes put down 74 dogs in that timeframe. By the time you're dropping in, you'll have a record under your belt, too: Most consecutive viewings of Joey Chestnut eating 74 hot dogs.

Listen to the entire Halo 3 soundtrack

Halo: Master Chief Collection had a hefty update yesterday, and it's the most downloaded game on Steam right now. Not interested in adding a game to your queue? Don't worry; one of the greatest gaming soundtracks of all time can fill about 118 minutes of your night instead.

Will you? No. Should you? Absolutely not. Could you? Yes. The average round on this cramped, action-packed map takes two minutes.
