The second day of the ESPN Esports VALORANT Invitational started with a surprise, as the heavily favored Team Dev lost. The day ended with Team Canyon and Team Llama facing off to determine which teams would advance out of Group B. Although Team Canyon didn't win the match, they won enough rounds to advance on round differential along with Team Dev.

Team Dev 4, Team Canyon 13
Map: Split
Round 1, Team Dev offense: Team Dev rotates to A site after a few kills in mid and take out the rest of Team Canyon on A.
Round 2, Team Dev offense: It's another late rotation to A and another win for the VALORANT developers.
Round 3, Team Dev offense: Canyon take a round after an opening kill on Salvatore "Volcano" Garozzo.
Round 4, Team Dev offense: Timothy "sYnceD" Putrow gets a 4K and evens the score at 2-2.
Round 5, Team Dev offense: Another A plant for Team Dev, but Coby "Dizzy" Meadows and Brandon "Aceu" Winn go through Viper's Pit for the diffuse and the lead.
Round 6, Team Dev offense: Kills get traded across the map and Dev aren't able to plant the spike before time runs out.
Round 7, Team Dev offense: Another round for Team Canyon, who are looking strong against the developers.
Round 8, Team Dev offense: Team Dev really love late rotations to A, but it hasn't worked for them since much earlier in the match.
Round 9, Team Dev offense: Ntt tries to clutch the round, but Canyon go up five rounds over the developers.
Round 10, Team Dev offense: Another eco round for Team Dev and another strong round for sYnceD, who has been a pleasant surprise for Canyon.
Round 11, Team Dev offense: Dizzy gets an early frag onto Nick "Nickwu" Wu, but the devs take this round after rotating from mid to B site.

Round 12, Team Dev offense: The last round before the half leads to a Nickwu 3K on the Operator, but this is still a Canyon win.
Round 13, Team Canyon offense: Team Canyon win their first attacker round despite strong opening scouting from the devs.
Round 14, Team Canyon offense: Canyon have a delayed rush onto A site, and it's another strong round for sYnceD.
Round 15, Team Canyon offense: It's a garage setup from Canyon but the devs come out on top thanks to a nice round from ntt, preserving a strong gun economy.
Round 16, Team Canyon offense: Both teams trade kills and it comes down to a 1v1 between Nickwu and Justin "Kellar" Kellar, and Kellar brings his team to match point.
Round 17, Team Canyon offense: The most important thing to note about Team Canyon is that the team was coordinated and each of the members had highlight moments.

Round 5, Team Battlegrounds offense: Psalm and his Operator have the final say, and it's another round for Llama.
Round 6, Team Battlegrounds offense: Battlegrounds push through Hookah onto B, and Mike "sharky" Gariti wins a Brimstone 1v1 to get his team's second win.

Round 9, Team Battlegrounds offense: Psalm mows down two to open the round and ends with four kills.
Round 10, Team Battlegrounds offense: Psalm and Damion "XXiF" Cook carry Llama to another round win.
Round 11, Team Battlegrounds offense: Another amazing round from both psalm and XXiF.
Round 12, Team Battlegrounds offense: Battlegrounds take one back on A site before the swap.
Round 13, Team Llama offense: Llama aggressively push onto B but immediately are surrounded by Battlegrounds.
Round 14, Team Llama offense: Llama push onto A before rotating through the teleporter for a B plant but are caught out by Battlegrounds again.
Round 15, Team Llama offense: A surprisingly patient round from Llama leads to a late B plant and a win.
Round 16, Team Llama offense: Llama opens up with three kills and an A rush for a flawless victory.
Round 17, Team Llama offense: An Orbital Strike from Joseph stops Battlegrounds from diffusing, and Llama go up 10-7.
Round 18, Team Llama offense: Another round victory for Llama after XXiF continues his Raze rampage.

Round 1, Team Llama offense: Llama go for a quick C site plant but are wiped by Team Dev.
Round 2, Team Llama offense: Llama group for an aggressive B site push this time and are collapsed on by Team Dev.
Round 3, Team Llama offense: Llama play it more patiently and get their first round win.
Round 4, Team Llama offense: It's a Sheriff round for the developers who lose out on a few early kill trades allowing Llama to rotate for a quick A plant and win.
Round 5, Team Llama offense: Penguin pops off and gives the devs the lead.
Round 6, Team Llama offense: After smart scouting from Nickwu's Sova, the devs are able to take out Team Llama.
Round 7, Team Llama offense: Another good round of gunfights from Team Dev.
Round 8, Team Llama offense: Llama return to their method of swarming one site before the devs make them back off of B and eventually rotate to A where they're mowed down by Volcano.
Round 9, Team Llama offense: Llama rotate to C for a plant and a round win.
Round 10, Team Llama offense: XXiF tries to bring his team back after a surprisingly aggressive defense from the devs but goes down on the site.
Round 11, Team Llama offense: The devs surround Llama and go up 8-3.
Round 12, Team Llama offense: Llama rotate to A site long where they're met with Volcano's Operator.
Round 13, Team Dev offense: Llama win nearly every single gunfight and take out the devs on their first attack run.
Round 14, Team Dev offense: A flawless round for Llama who pick off all of the devs.
Round 15, Team Dev offense: The devs come out ahead this time, winning their gunfights.
Round 16, Team Dev offense: It looks good for Llama in an eco round, but the devs and their guns win out.
Round 17, Team Dev offense: Volcano gets the opening kill, and the devs push the game to match point.
Round 18, Team Dev offense: Both teams trade kills until a 1v1 where Nickwu is able to pick off thwifo for the win.

Round 4, Team Battlegrounds offense: Battlegrounds go for a hard A push but meet ntt and Penguin for a flawless dev round.
Round 5, Team Battlegrounds offense: Battlegrounds are finally able to buy but are still wiped by the devs.

Round 9, Team Battlegrounds offense: It's a pistol round for Battlegrounds, and they're picked off individually by the devs until Jaden "Vegas" James is the lone spike carrier and decides to save.
Round 10, Team Battlegrounds offense: Penguin has definitely been the star of the dev team today.
Round 11, Team Battlegrounds offense: Another round, another win for Team Dev.
Round 12, Team Battlegrounds offense: Battlegrounds get their first spike plant, we see our first Odin, and the devs win yet again.
Round 13, Team Dev offense: Team Dev set up on B and are able to take out Battlegrounds for match point.
Round 14, Team Dev offense: Battlegrounds are forced into an eco round after losing on pistols, and Team Dev once again set up on B and wait for Battlegrounds to come to them.
The devs are not messing around anymore as they take down Team Battlegrounds 13-1.
