WNBA bets and fantasy picks: Time to pick up Chennedy Carter

Each night of the WNBA season, our team of fantasy and betting experts breaks down every game on the schedule, making note of everything from injuries and lineup changes to recent trends and more.

Here's what to look for tonight:

The Seattle Storm have been playing well, winning their past four games. Seattle seems to have figured things out after a slow start to the season. Meanwhile, the Phoenix Mercury enter Seattle fresh off win over the Los Angeles Sparks Sunday that snapped a four-game losing streak. There is a lot of talent on both teams, including Jewell Loyd, Kahleah Copper, Diana Taurasi and Skylar Diggins-Smith, which should make for an exciting game Tuesday night.

Tuesday's fantasy stream team

Chennedy Carter, G, Chicago Sky (rostered in 11.4% of ESPN leagues)

While her foul on Caitlin Clark continues to be a trending topic around the league, Carter has also been a reliable fantasy streamer. She played a season-high 30 minutes and scored 31 fantasy points against the Fever on Saturday and has scored 19 or more fantasy points in four of her past five games.

Tyasha Harris, G, Connecticut Sun (rostered in 11.5% of ESPN leagues)

Harris has been a key contributor for the Sun, accumulating stats in multiple categories. She has averaged 30.1 minutes per game this season, scoring 17 or more fantasy points in three of her past four games. Connecticut has a favorable matchup on Tuesday against a Mystics team that ranks 10th in defensive rating.

Washington Mystics at Connecticut Sun
7 p.m. ET, Mohegan Sun Arena, Uncasville, Conn.

Line: Sun -12.5
Money line: Mystics (+650), Sun (-1100)
Total: 152.5 points

BPI prediction:
Sun: 71.8% chance to win.
Projected margin of victory: 6.4 points

Injury report
Mystics: Brittney Sykes (Out), Shakira Austin (Out)
Sun: Moriah Jefferson (Out)

Best bet: Mystics (+12.5)

The Sun are clearly the superior team, ranking fourth in offensive rating and first in defensive rating, but Connecticut is just 3-5 against the spread this season, while Washington is 4-3-1. This line seems too high to me, especially since the Mystics covered against the Sun in their last matchup on May 17.

New York Liberty at Chicago Sky
8 p.m. ET, Wintrust Arena, Chicago

Line: Liberty -7.5
Money line: Liberty (-340), Sky (+260)
Total: 165.5 points

BPI prediction:
Liberty: 69.4% chance to win.
Projected margin of victory: 5.6 points

Injury report
Liberty: Nyara Sabally (Out)
Sky: No injuries reported

Best bet: Liberty (-6.5)

New York is more talented than Chicago, ranking in the top three in both offensive rating and defensive rating. While New York is 2-7 against the spread so far this season the Sky are coming off a disappointing game against the Fever on Saturday and could struggle offensively against the Liberty. This game could get out of hand early.

Phoenix Mercury at Seattle Storm
10 p.m. ET, Climate Pledge Arena, Seattle

Line: Storm -8.5
Money line: Mercury (+260), Storm (-345)
Total: 166.5 points

BPI prediction:
Storm: 71.8% chance to win.
Projected margin of victory: 6.4 points

Injury report
Mercury: Rebecca Allen (Out), Brittney Griner (Out)
Storm: No injuries reported

Best bet: Storm over 86.5 points.

Seattle is playing great basketball right now, ranking first in the league in offensive rating over the past four games while averaging 91.5 points per game. The Mercury have struggled stopping opponents, ranking 11th in defensive rating. Given the Mercury's defensive woes, the Storm shouldn't have much trouble putting up points.
