India will make their FIH Hockey Pro League debut in the second season of the tournament that will run from January to June 2020. While India had withdrawn from the first season, citing reservations about how it would affect their qualification hopes for Tokyo, the men's team agreed to join the second season, which would help them earn ranking points and compete against top opposition in the lead-up to the Olympics.
