The Texas Rangers are in the World Series for the first time since 2011.
The Rangers were victorious in seven games after a 11-4 win over the Houston Astros. Texas missed the postseason for six straight seasons but made the most of its appearance this year.
The Rangers got off to a hot start in the playoffs by winning seven games in a row. Adolis Garcia led Texas with six HRs and 20 RBIs in his postseason debut. In Game 7, Corey Seager homered alongside Garcia to give the Rangers an early lead before a four-run fourth inning sealed the deal. Two of Texas' players stood out during the run to the World Series: Seager, who batted .333 with three HRs and six RBIs, his second highest postseason total, and Josh Jung who had a .289 average with three HRs and eight RBIs.
The blowout win by the Rangers was a big topic among stars in the Lone Star State. Luka Doncic and the Dallas Cowboys were among those to offer congratulatory messages.
