Joseph Benavidez, Henry Cejudo named 'Ultimate Fighter' coaches

Former UFC flyweight title challengers Joseph Benavidez and Henry Cejudo have agreed to coach against one another on the 24th season of "The Ultimate Fighter" reality series.

The two coaches spots were announced Wednesday on "UFC Tonight." A tournament-style reality show, "The Ultimate Fighter" will feature flyweight contestants this season, with the winner earning an immediate title shot against reigning champion Demetrious Johnson.

The two coaches will meet in the co-main event of the TUF 24 finale Dec. 3.

Benavidez (24-4) has dominated every opponent he has faced in the 125-pound weight class except for Johnson. Fighting out of Las Vegas and Denver, Benavidez is 11-2 overall in the UFC. Both losses have come to Johnson in UFC title fights. He suffered a split-decision loss in their first meeting in September 2012 and then a first-round knockout loss the following year.

Cejudo (10-1) is coming off the first loss of his career, also to Johnson, by first-round TKO at UFC 197 last month. A former Olympic gold-medal wrestler, he fights out of Fight Ready in Scottsdale, Arizona.

ESPN.com ranks Benavidez and Cejudo the Nos. 2 and 3 flyweights in the world, respectively.
