LAS VEGAS -- UFC lightweight Khabib Nurmagomedov missed out on a $500,000 guaranteed payday on Saturday at UFC 209.
According to purse information disclosed to the Nevada State Athletic Commission, Nurmagomedov (24-0) was scheduled to net the biggest disclosed payday of his career at UFC 209 inside T-Mobile Arena.
Nurmagomedov was forced to withdraw from the bout on Friday, however, after he was hospitalized with medical issues related to his weight cut.
His scheduled opponent, Tony Ferguson (22-3) was slated to make $250,000 to show, plus a potential $250,000 win bonus.
The UFC has not yet confirmed whether Ferguson was paid his show money, despite his not fighting at UFC 209. He did successfully make weight on Friday.
In the main event, welterweight champion Tyron Woodley is scheduled to make $400,000 to show, with a $100,000 win bonus. Challenger Stephen Thompson will make $380,000 to show and $180,000 to win.
Veteran heavyweights Alistair Overeem and Mark Hunt will each make a flat purse of $750,000.
These figures do not necessarily represent full fighter compensation, which can include Reebok apparel sponsorship revenue and pay-per-view or discretionary bonuses.
