Former WWE star CM Punk has all but confirmed his second mixed martial arts fight will take place at UFC 225 on June 9 in Chicago.
Punk, whose birth name is Phil Brooks, referenced the event in a social media post on Monday. When asked by a Twitter user when fans will see him "cry again in the Octagon," Punk responded with a specific date.
"June nine, after I win and lock eyes with my beautiful wife, embrace my coaches and shout out my entire team," Punk wrote.
The UFC has not announced a fight for Punk, but president Dana White previously has said he intends to give the 39-year-old "another shot."
Punk (0-1) signed with the UFC in late 2014 despite no previous background in MMA. He eventually made his debut against Mickey Gall (4-1) at UFC 203 in September 2016. Gall dominated every aspect of the bout, finishing Punk via rear-naked choke in the first round.
Punk, who lives in his native Chicago, immediately said he intended to fight again but has been relatively quiet since. He trains out of Roufusport in Milwaukee.
Last month, Punk hinted at a comeback when he reacted to a UFC social media post about UFC 225. The event takes place at United Center.
Punk's coach, Duke Roufus, also has hinted at a Chicago appearance. In early February, Roufus posted a graphic of UFC 225 on Instagram, accompanied with the caption, "Guess who?"
