Pumped up after an exciting UFC 249? Well, the UFC isn't waiting long to bring more action into the Octagon and will have two UFC Fight Night cards this week, on Wednesday and Saturday, both in Jacksonville, Florida. The entire Wednesday card will be broadcast on ESPN+ beginning at 6 p.m. ET.
On Wednesday night, UFC Fight Night will be headlined by two light heavyweight contenders looking to get back into the title chase. Anthony Smith, who has won four of his past five fights, will face Glover Teixeira, a winner of three in a row. Smith's loss came at the hands of Jon Jones at UFC 235, but he rebounded with a win against Alexander Gustafsson to get back in the title picture.
At 40, Teixeira knows this may be his last chance to reach the top of the rankings. He enters this bout on a three-fight winning streak with victories over Nikita Krylov, Ion Cutelaba and Karl Roberson.
In the co-main event, Ben Rothwell will face Ovince Saint Preux, who is making his debut at heavyweight. There will likely be a significant weight difference between the two.
