The 2021 NBA trade deadline is five weeks away, but teams are already looking at their rosters, lining up what they already have and what they need. There have been only two trades since the start of the season (the four-team deal that sent James Harden to the Brooklyn Nets and the swap between the Pistons and Knicks that sent Derrick Rose back to New York), and executives are predicting a quiet trade season in 2021.
