Cavs not matching Bucks' 4-year offer on Matthew Dellavedova

The Cleveland Cavaliers will not match the four-year offer sheet worth $38.4 million that restricted free agent Matthew Dellavedova agreed to with the Milwaukee Bucks, a source told ESPN's Dave McMenamin on Monday.

The Cavaliers and Bucks had engaged in sign-and-trade talks about Dellavedova, but the Bucks remained confident that the Cavs would not match the offer sheet, sources said.

The Cavaliers would have had three days to do so, once the offer sheet was signed. July 7 is the first day free agents may sign deals.

The Bucks have signaled their interest in Dellavedova for some time. They sent scouts to Cleveland during the playoffs to evaluate Dellavedova, and coach Jason Kidd attended a Finals game.

Information from ESPN's Zach Lowe and Brian Windhorst was used in this report.
