Sources: Denver Nuggets close to agreement to re-sign Mike Miller

Veteran sharpshooter Mike Miller is nearing agreement on a two-year deal in the $6 million range to return to the Denver Nuggets, according to league sources.

Miller, 36, played last season in Denver after spending four of the previous five seasons alongside close friend LeBron James in Miami and Cleveland.

The long-distance specialist and former NBA Rookie of the Year is so well regarded in Denver that he was central to the Nuggets' recent free-agent recruitment of Dwyane Wade, who opted to sign with the Chicago Bulls instead.

As ESPN.com first reported earlier this month, Denver made a two-year offer to Wade in excess of $50 million in an attempt to pry him away from the Miami Heat, but Wade preferred to make the leap to his hometown Bulls.
