NEW YORK -- Warriors All-Star forward Kevin Durant has been ruled as questionable for Wednesday's showdown against his former team, the Oklahoma City Thunder.
"I don't know," Durant said on Tuesday after practice at St. John's University when asked if he'll be able to play. "We'll see how it feels in the morning but right now, it feels good."
Durant participated in a full practice, said head coach Steve Kerr. The small forward sprained his left ankle Saturday during a win over the Philadelphia 76ers. He the missed Sunday's victory at Brooklyn.
The reigning Finals MVP dropped 40 points on the Thunder at Chesapeake Arena last season, the first and only game back at Oklahoma City.
The crowed chanted "cupcake" all evening and he even engaged in a verbal exchange with Russell Westbrook.
He said it was a "pretty fun moment to be a part of." He knows what to expect this time around.
"It's just a regular game for me now," he said. "I learned how to tune out the crowd, I learned how to tune out the bulls---."
He told ESPN he won't risk further injury just to play on Wednesday. If he does play, he said he's going to be focused on getting a win and not focused on the outside noises.
"I just try to block out all of the nonsense and all the BS and just got out there and play," Durant said.
