The Boston Celtics have ruled out swingman Jaylen Brown and recalled rookie center Tacko Fall for Friday night's game against the visiting New York Knicks.
Brown, who is averaging 17.3 points per game on 50% shooting this season, is sick and already missed Wednesday's victory over the Bucks because of the illness.
The 7-foot-5 Fall faced the Knicks at Madison Square Garden last Saturday, scoring four points in as many minutes. The Celtics then sent him to their G League affiliate in Maine.
The Celtics are down two big men with Robert Williams and Enes Kanter both dealing with knee issues.
Forward Daniel Theis is available after spraining his left ankle.
