Brooklyn Nets hold out Kevin Durant for road game vs. Oklahoma City Thunder

Kevin Durant did not play in Brooklyn's 147-125 victory over Oklahoma City on Friday night as he continues to recover from right Achilles tendon surgery.

Nets coach Steve Nash said after that game that he was protecting Durant, the league's No. 2 scorer. Brooklyn made the move work -- the team shot 57% from the field and scored a season-high point total.

Durant played 42 minutes and led all scorers with 32 points in Brooklyn's double-overtime win in Atlanta on Wednesday.

He has played in 15 of the Nets' 20 games and leads the team in points (30.5), rebounds (7.5), assists (5.5), blocks (1.5) and steals (0.7) per game.
