The New York Knicks acquired Brooklyn Nets forward Mikal Bridges via trade Tuesday night in exchange for Bojan Bogdanovic and a plethora of draft picks, including four unprotected first-round picks, according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.
The deal reunites Bridges with his Villanova Wildcats teammates -- Jalen Brunson, Josh Hart and Donte DiVincenzo. The four won a national championship in 2016 and played together for two seasons at Villanova. Brunson, Bridges and DiVincenzo won a second national title in 2018.
After being traded from the Phoenix Suns to Brooklyn in 2023, Bridges averaged a career-high 26.1 points in 27 games with the Nets that season. He averaged 19.6 points during the 2023-24 campaign.
Here's how the sports world reacted to New York's blockbuster trade for Bridges.
