Despite an  8-9 regular-season record, the Carolina Panthers, double-digit underdogs Saturday in the NFC wild-card round, took the Los Angeles Rams to the final seconds at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte before ultimately succumbing in a 34-31 loss.

Matthew Stafford led the Rams to a 34-31 victory over the Panthers on Saturday with a seven-play, 71-yard drive that ended with a touchdown pass to tight end Colby Parkinson.
