The New England Patriots own eight picks in the 2024 NFL draft, highlighted by a No. 3 overall pick that most assume will be used to draft a new quarterback.
The Patriots took care of in-house business by prioritizing re-signing their own free agents so far this offseason. They also made an attempt to sign WR Calvin Ridley, but Ridley chose to sign with the Titans -- still leaving a need for a top-tier wide receiver.
The 2024 NFL draft will take place at Campus Martius Park and Hart Plaza in Detroit from April 25 through April 27. Round 1 will begin April 25 at 8 p.m. ET, while Rounds 2 and 3 are on April 26 starting at 7 p.m. ET. Rounds 4 through 7 begin at noon ET on April 27. The draft will be broadcast on ESPN, ABC, ESPN+ and the ESPN App. There are 257 total picks in the draft.

First-year coach Jerod Mayo has been straight-forward in saying, "Obviously, quarterback is the priority." At the same time, Mayo left himself an out with the No. 3 pick, noting that a trade down is possible if a team offers the Patriots an attractive package of multiple first-round picks -- a scenario that would allow the team to also fill other needs like LT and WR.
