2023 NFL 53-man roster predictions for all 32 teams

The NFL wraps up its third and final set of preseason games this week as teams prepare to set their final 53-man rosters for the 2023 NFL regular season, which kicks off Thursday, Sept. 7, with the defending Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs hosting the Detroit Lions.

Teams have to trim their rosters by 4 p.m. ET on Tuesday. They have been evaluating players across every position since training camp started in late July, and this week's preseason action offers one last chance to see players on the roster battling for a spot.

At the conclusion of each game -- and the night before Sunday's matchup between the Houston Texans and New Orleans Saints -- ESPN's NFL Nation reporters reveal how depth charts will look after final cuts and predict who will crack the 53-man roster. What is the biggest thing to know about each team's looming decisions, and who will make the team after Tuesday's deadline? Our reporters project it all, with analysis on the most important position battles to keep an eye on.

Each roster projection file is content.

Miami may run it back with its two RBs from last season and hope that's enough to make a Super Bowl run with a healthy Tua Tagovailoa.

Marcel Louis-Jacques' final 53-man roster projection

New England Patriots

The Patriots have almost too much depth at some positions, so they'll have to make some important decisions, like whether undrafted free agent Malik Cunningham will stick as their third quarterback.

The skill positions, led by Aaron Rodgers, appear loaded. Can the offensive line hold up?

Rich Cimini's final 53-man roster projection

AFC NORTH

Baltimore Ravens

The Ravens have a healthy Gus Edwards and J.K. Dobbins to start a season for the first time since 2020, and that should help take pressure off an offense expected to pass more.

Cincinnati Bengals

The backup quarterback job is drawing all the attention as the Bengals evaluate options behind Joe Burrow.

The Texans have a new look in key spots heading into the season, including a rookie QB and a first-year coach.

New York Giants

The Giants surrounded quarterback Daniel Jones with more weapons in the offseason but now have tough decisions to make at wide receiver.

Jordan Raanan's final 53-man roster projection

Eric Woodyard's final 53-man roster projection

Green Bay Packers

With all of the veteran options at quarterback, wide receiver and tight end shed from the Packers' roster, who will catch passes from new starting quarterback Jordan Love?
