ESPN Fantasy Projection: Patterson joins the Steelers for his 13th pro season, following a three-year stretch in Atlanta where he was coached by new Pittsburgh offensive coordinator Arthur Smith. Patterson has the versatility to be schemed as a runner and receiver, like he was under Smith in 2021 and 2022, when he totaled more than 1,300 rush yards and 73 receptions during that span. However, Patterson's offensive touches took a hit in Atlanta last season with the arrival of Bijan Robinson, and he is slated to be the No. 3 running back in Pittsburgh behind Najee Harris and Jaylen Warren. Outside of his special teams value and his potential usage in the pass game, Patterson doesn't provide enough fantasy relevance to be drafted.
