News: 2 days agoCoach Raheem Morris said London could have re-entered Sunday's 34-7 win against the Giants after suffering a hamstring injury, Tori McElhaney of the Falcons' official site reports.
Spin: The Falcons had the game well in hand at the time London exited early in the fourth quarter, so the team seemingly exercised caution with its top wide receiver. He finished Week 16 action with five catches on eight targets for 59 yards while working with QB Michael Penix for the first time. With a matchup versus the Commanders next Sunday, London's health could receive some clarity when Atlanta posts its first injury report of the week Wednesday.
ESPN Fantasy Projection: London is entering his third NFL season well positioned for a big statistical leap after Atlanta's offseason coaching change. Out is Arthur Smith, whose run-heavy scheme limited London to 72-866-4 and 69-905-2 receiving lines during his first two campaigns. The 2022 first-round pick has impressed when utilized, but has yet to finish a season better than 40th among WRs in routes and has 14 career end zone targets to his name. The underwhelming usage figures to change in a big way with Zac Robinson calling plays and Kirk Cousins under center. London is still entering his prime at age-23 and has elite upside in Atlanta's new scheme. He's best-valued as a good WR2, but there's room for more.
