News: 4 days agoWorthy caught two of four targets for 17 yards and added a five-yard run in Sunday's 26-25 win over the Bengals.

Spin: Worthy scored touchdowns on two of his three touches in his NFL debut, but the speedster didn't make as much of the same volume in his second NFL game. The rookie first-round draft pick's role could expand as the season goes on, as the Chiefs will be without Hollywood Brown (shoulder) for the rest of the regular season, leaving Worthy as the top candidate to work as the team's No. 2 wide receiver behind Rashee Rice, who was the only player to exceed 22 receiving yards for Kansas City against the Bengals. Worthy will look to expand his usage in Week 3 against the Falcons.

ESPN Fantasy Projection: That the Chiefs paid handsomely to move up to 28th overall in the NFL draft to select Worthy speaks volumes about their regard for his big-play ability. In his final season at Texas, he averaged 7.7 yards after the catch per target and broke 15 tackles, and he ultimately broke the 40-yard dash record at the NFL combine (4.21 seconds). Though the Chiefs' receiving depth should afford them patience with Worthy's development, his ability to stretch the field will prove handy to them from Day 1. If he clicks, he could deliver fantasy WR3 numbers right from the start. Bear in mind, however, that players of his ilk often have their single-game statistical peaks and valleys.
