News: 5 days agoFannin caught three of five targets for 43 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 26-8 loss to the 49ers.
Spin: Most of the damage came on a 34-yard TD pass from Shedeur Sanders early in the second quarter, the longest passing play of the day by either team on a very windy day in Cleveland. Fannin's five targets and 43 yards paced all Browns pass catchers, and in two-plus games since Sanders took the reins of the offense, the rookie tight end has a 9-109-1 line on 16 targets. Fannin will look for his fourth touchdown of the season in a Week 14 tilt against the Titans.
ESPN Fantasy Projection: Fannin was selected by Cleveland in the third round of April's draft. The 2024 Bowling Green offense ran through Fannin, as he handled a massive 39% of the targets and air yards. That allowed him a 117-1,555-10 receiving line on 155 targets, as well as a 3.83 YPRR. Every stat I've listed so far was the best among TEs in this class. He showed decent speed and athleticism at the combine, so along with his good hands, Fannin could emerge as a pass-catching threat in the pros. In the meantime, he'll battle for situational snaps behind starter David Njoku. Draft Fannin in dynasty leagues only.
