While Taylor Swift fans were busy contemplating the meaning behind her surprise song selections for the 100th concert of The Eras Tour, the musical superstar's mind was elsewhere. Namely, on Kansas City Chiefs WR Mecole Hardman's contract.
Huh? Yes, after completing the first of three shows at England's Anfield Stadium in Liverpool on Thursday, Swift was up until the wee hours tuning in to the Instagram livestream of Hardman's girlfriend, Chariah Gordon, at the Chiefs' Super Bowl ring ceremony.
Swift, who liked Kansas City's Instagram posts featuring her boyfriend, TE Travis Kelce, and QB Patrick Mahomes showing off their third Super Bowl rings, commented with multiple celebratory messages on Gordon's video. She also took the opportunity to voice her excitement over Hardman's re-signing.

"AND WE GET ANOTHER YEAR OF MECOLE," Swift wrote alongside a crown emoji.
"The Tortured Poets Department" artist can clearly appreciate the importance of depth at the wide receiver position, just like Swifties can appreciate her working "Cornelia Street" (a song believed to be about her ex-boyfriend, English actor Joe Alwyn) into the lineup while performing in England.
If you didn't immediately hear "3 a.m. and I'm still awake" upon accounting for the time zone difference, you haven't spent enough time with the "Red (Taylor's Version)" album and it shows.
