          Bears' D'Andre Swift runs 56 yards to score game's first TD vs. Commanders

          LANDOVER, Md. -- After nearly three full quarters of offensive struggles on Sunday, all the Chicago Bears needed were two plays and 46 seconds of game time to fight back against the Washington Commanders.

          With 54 seconds remaining in the third quarter, Bears running back D'Andre Swift took a handoff from quarterback Caleb Williams to his left and ran down Chicago's sideline into the end zone for a 56-yard touchdown.

          The score -- Chicago's first of the day after being shut out at halftime -- cut into Washington's lead as Swift totaled most of his 98 rushing yards through three quarters on one play. The Commanders hang onto a 12-7 lead at the start of the fourth quarter.
