Who has the most game-winning goals in NHL history?

Alex Ovechkin scored the 880th, 881st and 882nd goals of his illustrious career in a 7-3 win against the Edmonton Oilers on Feb. 23. Ovechkin's 881st career goal, a power-play strike that came at the 18:39 mark of the second period, wound up being the eventual game winner and gave the Washington Capitals left wing a share of a nuanced goals record.

Ovechkin's game-winning goal was the 135th of his NHL career, tying Jaromir Jagr for the most all time. Ovechkin (1,467 games) tied Jagr (1,733 games) in 266 fewer games played.
