2008 Outlook: According to state biologist Brian Eyler, Maryland continues to have a very good population of deer, a good sign for hunters this fall.

"Hunting should be the same as last year, provided the weather cooperates," said Eyler.

The weather is always the wildcard in hunting. Good weather on opening weekend and throughout the season should bring plenty of opportunities for hunters looking to bag a Maryland deer.
